Charles Worthington asked me to create a site-specific video to launch their 2017 hair collection. The launch took place in Charles Worthington's own London home and was projected directly onto an existing wall-mounted artwork. This site-specific approach added an extra element of surprise and delight to the launch. It also presented various challenges to overcome in terms of execution.
The walls either side of the artwork were used as a secondary display area to ensure the visual impact of the photographic assets was not lost due to the artwork’s masking affect. The animation also included several music tracks, selected to give the presentation energy and momentum, whilst reinforcing the ‘Vibe’ theme. Bespoke sound design was also used throughout to enhance moments of reveal and to build suspense during the opening countdown sequence.
