Dot to Dot was a digital art initiative by London & Partners launched in 2016 celebrating London's dynamic creativity and promoting its .london domains.
Dot to Dot featured circular ‘dot’ artworks commissioned from digital artists and exhibited at sites across London. Each dot was accompanied by a dynamic digital counterpart, viewable on the participating artist’s Dot London website.
My commission for the Dot to Dot initiative was a GIF titled 'LSDLR', and featured treated footage taken from the DLR in London. The GIF is frenetic, garish, and appears to be perpetually driving forward, drawing the viewer in and echoing the nature of the city it represents.
